Welcome to the Willow Bench: I'm Anna

Welcome. Come sit.

If we haven't met yet - I'm Anna. Anna Willow Rose. Known in my every day life as Stacey, mom, ma, jamma. Witch.

And this is The Rose Wildling.

For years I tried to pick just one. I thought I had to. Am I the calming, soothing-energy woman people tell me they feel safe with? The one with Reiki hands , a soft voice, tea and rosemary smoke?

Or am I the feral one? The one who feels most alive covered in dirt and scratches, furious at the patriarchy, doing her own deep shadow work in the mud?

Turns out, I'm both. We are both.

The beauty is that we don't have to choose. It is entirely possible to integrate your shadow and light into a beautiful shade of grey and finally feel like your true self for the first time in your life. Let me tell you, it feels good!

Sometimes you want to scream and kick and fight. Sometimes you want a soft place to land and an ear to listen or a hand to hold. Sometimes you want to walk barefoot through the mud in the pouring rain and then come home to a hot shower, a cozy blanket, a cup of tea and your favourite book and that is all ok! (Honestly that sounds like pure bliss.)

So that, my friends, is me. I'm feral. I'm a little f*cked up. I'm messy but I like it when things are neat and tidy. I am anxious and furious. I am calm and steady. I a nurturing and kind. I am light. I am shadow. I don't have it all figured out and you don't have to either.
